Lead CNC Operator /Programmer / Supervisor Posted 1/27/2012
Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily direction to all work centers, providing guidance, motivation and maintaining productivity/efficiency requirements in a machine shop environment. This is a “working supervisor” position that requires the incumbent to possess recent experience in the set-up, operation and programming of CNC Lathes and manual machining centers.
Candidates who are lead machinists, with a desire to move into supervision or supervisors with a strong CNC machining background would be good fits for this role.
Minimum Requirements
- Proactively re-enforces proper safety behaviors and compliance with company policies/procedures
- Ensures shift continuity by communicating with shift supervisor to review work in progress, upcoming projects and related items
- Motivates, coaches, engages, develops and applies corrective action to direct reports as needed
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with direct reports, peers and supervisor

- Strong/current CNC machining skills with the ability to perform and coach team in the following areas: machine set-ups, blue print interpretation and in-process quality verification
- CNC/manual machining experience utilizing Vertical/Horizontal Mills, Lathes and Machining Centers with FUNUC controls desired
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of equivalent education and experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Position Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for providing professional level quality support in a fast paced fabrication/job shop environment. This newly created position will assist our Quality Department in striving to continually improve product quality to meet customer expectations.
